When is the best time to plant hellebores? This thread has made me realise I really don't have enough. The blue/black ones are so striking, @Victoria Sponge

@WAMS they are good to plant now, I put a bunch in at the weekend. Golden valley have them half price too.

I have only one and that is a Corsican hellebore I grew from a tiny seedling with 2 tiny leaves. All the flowers are looking downwards; I need to be prostrate if I want to photograph it properly.

Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

Hope all is ok @Fran IOM — those two are lovely

@Eustace I had a few Corsican hellebores before, they flower so prolifically

The flowers on my HGC Ice ‘n’ Roses Red are starting to age

Thank you @Athelas  On the mend now and can't wait for the Spring weather to get back to gardening. Hellebores are one of my favourites.

Hi all, I was surprised to still see new flowers on my HGC Ice ‘n’ Roses Red in May — anyone still getting new flowers?
