@Valley Gardener. Yes that was a lovely blue sky but very deceiving as it was bitterly cold in the wind. The names of them are Double Cream Speckled and Double pink.
@paedar they will happily spread outwards in bigger clumps if happy yes, the 9cm potted ones I brought originally are all lovely big clumps after a few years and prolific flowerers. You can divide them later in the year if you have a decent clump and want to spread them elsewhere or give away. The named ones are pricy but well worth it, months of flower in darkest months and lovely green leaves the rest of the year
@wild edges that white certainly looks happy there! Love that pinky one too, very striking. @Fran IOM That yellows stunning. Ive planted a couple of yellows but they are quite small still and havent flowered yet.
Here's my latest hellebore, it was grown by the head gardener where I volunteer. It doesn't have an official name so I'm going to name it after him. As it grows the centre frill gets bigger and turns to a pale mauve with green seed pods. It's lovely.
