I wouldn't have. It was a present from a non gardener. I wish you could still trust vouchers. I see Parks have risen phoenix -like from the ashes of bankruptcy.

  • Just in case this hasn't been sorted, or for future reference, if you look carefully at the adjustment screws, you'll see that they're actually a nut as well as having a screwdriver slot. I think the one you need to loosen (bobthegardener's screw A) takes an 8mm spanner  :)

Ah so that would save the screwdriver slot being damaged. Thank you from me too mikeymustard

  • Felco is the best I've come across and my current, and only pair, is over 10 years old.

They are used for pruning and not cutting anything much larger than 1/2" green wood. Loppers are used for bigger stuff.

They need to be cleaned frequently, preferably after use as the sap will build up.

Sharpening, again frequently, and then only the outside of the blade.

They are designed to be used single-handed.

    Love mine.

Second time of use last week and the spring between the handles fell off mine, good job I spotted it on the ground. I won't be disposing of my old ones any time soon.
