Hello folks, Thanks for all your kind wishes, the op went fine and I have been discharged from the hospital. Still a few digestion issues but they think they will improve overtime. Hubby doesn't seem to be improving much which is a shame as he can't do much at the moment and I am finding it quite stressful. Secondborn is really struggling re her divorce and Firstborn has quite a few issues with Merri and Mabel's health.
A lot of new people here and on Forkers which is lovely. Hope they are all enjoying our madness and gossiping.
The gardener is here today and it has inspired me to do a bit in the front garden so I have tidied it and pruned a climbing rose. Lots of bulbs showing which have cheered me up a bit. Hopefully I wont suffer too much tonight, a dose of pain killers might be in order before I go to bed.
Hope everyone is OK and those that are feeling poorly or down start to cheer up as Spring approaches.
Painting is something we need to do all over our house too. I'm going to be firm with myself to get going with it- making a plan may be the way to go.... so many 'go's' in that sentence!! A lovely haul at the GC indeed, @Songbird-1 they should look super. Do you have a specific bed in which to plant them, or will they be placed around the various parts of the garden?
I forgot to say my shopping trip went well and I got everything I needed. I didn't even have a shopping list! I popped into the bank with a little problem and the chap was so helpful. It's good that my branch is still in the High Street. I needed to talk to a real person, IYSWIM.
I agree with you about a real person in the bank @janetfoss. I still have one in my French bank but it's usually someone with a foreign accent that I can't understand on the phone for my English bank.
@Topbird OH had our Norfolk fence replaced last year. Fencing contractors were expensive with waiting lists. He ordered a fence online which was delivered and a local handy man installed it.
That sounds a good selection of plants @Songbird-1
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Loads of bulbs poking through outside now. My new blueberry plants are still inside (in the absence of suitable pots to put them in and back-to-back storms). They're loving it and I suspect that they think it is later in the year than it actually is
Thank you @Busy-Lizzie I certainly feel better for it. @Topbird have a lovely day with your friend and watching Adam Frost. @Songbird-1 sounds like you had a very enjoyable morning at the GC a lovely selection of plants. Have fun finding places in your garden for them all. @Yviestevie hope you enjoyed your time in the garden today and you don't ache too much. Are you pleased with what your new gardener did today. I like a real person in the bank too, fortunately I still get a person in our local bank as well as on the phone. I don't do online banking, so I'm very grateful. Great photo @Biglad Goodness almost another thread of 100
Today was lovely and sunny day. I went to the cottage after school and done a few things. There is not so much snow after last storm. I felt quite low yesterday, and wasn't around here. Today I'm much better.
Hi @Ante30 sorry to hear you were feeling down yesterday, glad you're feeling a bit more like you today. Take care, sending a hug. Good to hear the weather has improved today and the snowfall wasn't too bad. It's been quite chilly here today, but no rain or wind. Tomorrow's forecast isn't too good though😫
