It's just Schadenfreude @Hostafan1 .... plain and simple ......... he's never been popular (understandably) and the press are loving seeing him get his come-uppance.

Perhaps Andrew could build a new life. Maybe earn a living by starting up a tribute act. Maybe “the artist formerly known as prince”.
I don't think there'll be any washing going out here in the next day or two, not with over 60 mph winds forecast for here, never mind the rain. Mind you, there hasn't been much chance of that for a while anyway...

Same here, @Fairygirl - hold onto your hat! There's a window cleaner just gone along the street, clutching his ladder. I hope he goes home soon, I fear for his safety.
I've got all my torches and lanterns charged, at the ready, tinned food in the cupboard, a pile of books, some bottled water (my water comes off the hill) so bring it on Storm Duncan and Eunice on Friday. I'll leave the Calor Gas heater where it is until it's needed as it's a faff to get to.
prince Andrew needs to fade away into the pale insignificance he deserves. Who on earth does he expect to take him seriously as a voice for the abused and who, in their right mind, would let him out again on his own without a muzzle and lead? As for the compensation, it will, as I understand, come from the Queen's own fortune and not public money.
Weather is cr*p here to and set to get worse. I've shut teh chooks in the polytunnel to stay warm and dry.
Have to go out to buy some DIY bits. Why oh why do those fancy, expensive, one coat paints not work for me? The old, easy to apply, 2 coat jobs were fine with me.

@Uff I keep wondering what the road's been like next to my last house. Even in normal spells of rain, the road looked like a river, and flooded everywhere. Our water was from the well further up, but there was also a spring fed system. Not been along there for a while, but I fancy a wee trip to the nursery [which is just along the road from it] so it'll be interesting to see.
