We have a prime minister who did not understand the lockdown rules. Nobody told him. He could have asked practically anybody in the country and they could have put him straight
    In London. Keen but lazy.

He stood in the garden of No10 drinking wine and talking sociably but not for one second did he consider that this might not a work meeting. He clearly felt that he was being productive and serving the county to his best ability during one of the most difficult periods in living history. When he gets his automatic knighthood for outstanding services to the country it will no doubt be a proud memory for him.

Not only could BJ have found out the lockdown rules from virtually anyone in the country, but he could maybe also have remembered what he himself had said in his "sorry but we need to lock down" speeches...  unless he's completely stupid rather than just a pathological liar...

    Or both
His advisers are probably telling him to shut up. Good job he's not listening

Odd that Boris has said today that categorically he wasn't told that it wasn't a business meeting and that if he had been told that he definitely would have remembered it. Why then are we having an enquiry, as he does have a memory after all, and has already apologised to the Queen (presumably for parties on the eve of her husband's funeral). I thought all this started because he was adamant before - BSG (before Sue Gray) - that there hadn't been ANY parties.
I also heard a political commentator saying today (talking about revenge and Cummings) that Boris is being hoisted by his own Luc Picard as Boris penchant is being the bon vivant and partying. But IMO that isn't why Boris is being hauled up at all - it's because he's simply a liar. He lies. He lies to cover his previous lies.

I assume you mean that bit to be rhetorical :D

Why has nobody asked what his wife was doing supping wine at a business meeting?  For her it must have been a social event as she isn't part of either the government nor a civil service employee.
  • Oh but isn't she still one of his advisors,  that's how they met after all. Who do you think is pulling his strings now anyway? Don't forget the picture of her at a friend's birthday party practically entwined with each other.  She obviously disregarded the rules too.

I think Boris is more of a glove puppet :#
