@Papi Jo, yes the lilies smell gorgeous, I have white/cream ones there too and the scent wafts around the garden, especially at dusk.
Unfortunately, my plan for that area is not working out. I made a little 'rose garden' at the bottom of the garden, where the boundary meets a farmers field. Before we could just mow right up to the edge and fight back the bracken and nettles and long grasses that try to grow through. Now I have flowers up there, sedum, lillies, gladioli, geranium and roses, all closely planted together, it is so difficult to get in-between them and weed. The bracken literally pop up everywhere, and grow so fast, there are lots of little tree saplings that I have to deal with weekly too and it takes so long, with such a large garden and a full time job I feel it is taking precious time out of the other needs of the garden. It was supposed to be a little secret quiet corner of calm, yet despite there being a little bench I never have a chance to sit and just admire, which rather makes it a pointless exercise. The lilies face the wrong way too as they reach for the light coming from the field side rather than my shady side. Time for Plan B I think.
This was what it looked like in 2015 as I first set it out.

@eustace the honeysuckle cost £2.50 from Tesco years ago and is helpfully labelled "Honeysuckle". No idea which variety it is The other one is a Sempervivum You are very flattering describing it as "meticulous planting". I call it "There's a space, that'll do" planting 😁
