Wolf Garden multi-change tools Dutch and Swoe hoe, rake and cultivator, they all clip on to one 5ft long aluminium handle which means that I can transport them to the allotment and back on my pushbike. Also some cheap hand tools from Lidl stainless steel trowel and fork and a handy little hand rake with a hoe attached to the back very good for weeding between onions.
I have a sort of stirrup hoe which is brilliant for weeding, especially in the veg garden. But I live in France where they are readily available, not seen them in the UK except for a similar tool by Wolf.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
The biggest game changer for me, being female, was downsizing from full a size spade and garden fork to border spade and fork, which I did about 20 years ago but should have done earlier. Much easier on the aging body.
I'd never heard of a hori-hori trowel and had to look it up. Looks good!
Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.
I got a Niwaki hori hori knife this Christmas — can’t wait to try it out next year.
Snap Athelas! I absolutely LOVE it. It cuts through soil like butter. Looks fierce, I don't have children around but I am still thinking how to store it safely.
Major expense, but a Niwaki Tripod ladder is the only one I feel safe in the garden, 15ft up in the air. 5 feet up a normal stepladder, even with someone holding it felt dodgy.
