Big Garden Birdwatch 28-30 January 2022

The Big Garden Birdwatch will be next month, and I thought yesterday I need to exercise. The images are not the best, as I have only a 200mm tele lens, but hopefully you can help me to identify them.

On the left, this should be a finch.



This one looks like a blackbird to me.



I didn't get this fella from the front.



The common Blue Tit

Keep in mind, from tonight, the sunset delays now 1 minutes a day and after the 2nd of January, the sunrise will be 1 minute earlier again. We are getting there  :)

    Good morning Simone. The larger of your two birds is a starling and I think that the smaller bird is a dunnock.

    Pretty sure that smaller of the two birds in the first pic is a female housesparrow.

    I agree with @Dovefromabove - female sparrow.
    Starling on the left.  :)

    Same here today anyway @pansyface - when it gets light it might be better though. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Dunnocks are probably our most common garden visitors here. I love them, although they're very 'naughty'   ;)
    The current resident robin is a little sod though, and constantly chases them and gives them a hard time, but they don't let it put them off. 
    The joys of nature  :)

    Thank you all very much. 

    We also had rain for a couple of hours and again a bit sunshine in the afternoon just enough to look for weeds. 
    I had pinned a tit box last month to a post and filled with a bit straw. I took the straw out yesterday assuming that it might the potential tit confuse rather than help. I have to learn so much.

    Received my birdwatch pack this morning.  There is 20% discount and free delivery on bird feed etc on the RSPB website until 31/1/22.  Use Discount code - COUNT.

    Thanks very much for that @Marran. I've now stocked up with some bird food I'm running out of  :)
    Clay soil - Cheshire/Derbyshire border. 

    I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
