  • @Busy-Lizzie so sorry to hear the plumber didn't turn up, although if you can't get hold of him and can't leave a message, maybe it's a blessing in disguise. Could be a bit of a cowboy and ripped you off and not done the job properly. Hope you can find a plumber that not only doesn't let you down, but one you can rely on in the future.  Hope you can get things sorted soon. Sending a hug.
@Songbird-1 you sound like you've had a lovely morning at the GC. Hope you find the perfect spot for your Snowdrops. Glad your voice is getting better.
    OH is watching the footie.
  • @Songbird-1 you have a PM
  • Busy I hope your plumbing soon sorted, not very pleasant for you. I hope you can get another plumber soon.  Ante it’s good that you and Rose are well rested.  LB I’ve put a heated cape on and it’s very cosy.  Hazel I hope your voice will soon recover.  RubeeI’m so pleased that Rufus has joined you for a sleep.  I’ve had a late lunch and visited.  It’s quite cool.  Chive I woke early and then fell back to sleep, quite late on parade today.  Thankfully Alfie had a good night.  I’ve tried him on some ham but he wasn’t very impressed and soon returned to his biscuits. Hazel I have my Lilys tv items drying from yesterday.

Hazel, OH suggested buying a portable loo for emergencies.

I've found my big jam making pan and I'll put it in the big utiliity room sink and wash my hair there, the tap has a shower function on it. I can't use the sinks as I can't use the drains, using bowls which I can tip outside.

    Afternoon everyone,
Busy That’s just despicable behaviour from the plumber, he knows your plight and to leave you in this situation is disgraceful 🤬 Can only echo what the others have said hoping you can find someone to help you with this as soon as possible,
Hazel Sorry to hear you lost your voice last night, I hope it continues to improve. Glad you had a successful visit to the GC this morning and have some nice pots of snow drops to enjoy,
SGL Hope you’re having a good day and the fog cleared for you,
Bluebells Glad you managed to return to sleep this morning and Alfie had a good night, it is very chilly out the heated cape sounds lovely and cosy,
Been to our local farm shop today and treated ourselves to some delicious pies so you can guess what’s for tea tonight 😋 have a nice evening everyone.

Good afternoon everyone. Good grief Busy, that is terrible news and trust that to happen when it is the middle of winter and at a weekend. Very annoying about the plumber. How long would it have taken him to just call you or text you if he was stuck somewhere? I hate it when workmen do that - especially if I have been waiting in for them. I do hope he has a good excuse or you manage to find a more reliable one.
I have been busy today. Done two runs of Lily's TV and wet cloth things are still outside. I also flipped my mattress - head to tail - which I like to do each year.
It cannot be completely turned over because of its design. I think I will need muscles on my spit next year when it comes time to do it again!
Biglad, I got a text to say my gas engineer will be with me between 08:00 an 12:00 on Monday to service the boiler. I've got everything crossed!
RosieBB, a heated cape sounds very snuggly. I bet a furry friend would like that.
Hazel. I love the sound of your snowdrop pots too - a successful trip to the garden centre.
Chive, I wonder 🤔 could it be you are having delicious pies from a farm shop for your tea???

Chive, I must apologise, I think it was you who asked me about Lily the other day and I forgot to answer. She is still snuffly but I think she is much better than she was. Shhhhh! she is going to the Vet's on Friday to have her little heart stutter checked.

    Evening All,
LB 😊 I’m pleased Lily has improved, I hope she gets on ok Friday with the heart stutter check. Goodness flipping your mattress is no mean feat and two lots of wet things, quite a days work there.
Hoping @debs64 is ok, not seen her around for a while.
Time to sign off, Goodnight everyone.
  • LB goodness turning the bed is no mean feat you’ve done well.  Chive enjoy those lovely pies.  Lily I hope you had a good day once the fog had cleared.  Have the Pilates classes restarted now for oh.  Hazel snowdrops are a lovely choice.  Busy a good idea for the jam pot.  Alfie went to bed hours ago away from the Tver.  Wishing you all a goodnight.  Ante hope Rose isn’t feeling too sensitive, bless her.
