Don’t muck about with cold sores. If you are prone to these, keep a tube of Zovirax aka Acyclovir and slap it on at the first hint that one is developing. So much better now that it is available over the counter and don’t have to wait for a prescription.
Customers seem to like it too and find it effective. I would guess that cold sores are not the kind of thing you would be equivocal about - you would know if an intervention is working or not.
I agree the study looks interesting. However the authors were or are currently employees of the company that make the heat device [ which should ring alarm bells, and would make it unpublishable in most journals ] It is also not peer reviewed.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
I came across this unusual looking gadget this morning, after my wife went out for lunch, and left me with some vague instructions on how to prepare a sandwich.
I found it invaluable in removing a thin section from a loaf of bread. It even doubled up to do a similar thing to one of those lumps of cheese, as well as produce small slices of tomato to go along with it!!
Has anyone else got one of these sitting in a drawer in the kitchen?

It looks like a bread knife. The only other serrated knives I have is a tomato knife

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

That would certainly count as unexpected.
