Good morning Dove (another one who wasn't there when I posted!), Ruby, Chive and Hazel.
Any news on the boiler yet Ruby?
You are not on your own in being unable to settle to anything when waiting for deliveries SGL - I'm exactly the same.
I had a lovely visit with my sister and BIL. My nephew was there with his two little boys and I got big hugs all round. I had taken some chocolate sweets for the two small people and with their Dad's permission they were allowed to have one each - after all they had just had their breakfast. They have just moved into a new house and whilst waiting to move they had to rent a caravan to live in - no problem when you live on the Fylde coast - and put all their things in storage. Smallest great nephew thought he was on holiday as they were living in a caravan.

Still waiting LB . Engineer supposed to come late morning to lunch time .
  • The machine arrived about 11.15 all installed and I've done one load.....on delicates. Thank goodness it has a dial. The electronic touch system is very sensitive 😱
Hope your engineer has arrived @Rubee

Lily good that your washer has arrived and you are using it ,you must be very pleased . Engineer came he said that boiler needs a new burner bar .He turned the water pressure down ,the boiler is safe to use.New burner bar will be ordered ,the engineer doesn’t know how long it will take to come. That doesn’t matter as long as we have heat and hot water .

Excellent news SGL and Ruby. It has gone really dark here and it looks like a snow sky. I don't think we'll get any just yet though. I filled up the bird feeders in the back garden and for the first time ever in all the years I've lived here, I had a pied wagtail visiting.

  • Chive thank you I hope Nel is doing well.  LB I loved your animated cartoon.  Rubee so glad you can use the boiler and be warm.  Hazel well done with the sm shop, I’m yet to do mine.  Lily I hope your delivery will arrive soon, fingers crossed.
  • Lily I’m glad your washer has now arrived.
  • @Songbird-1 this one does have dial as well as the touch screen.  When I went to look last week didn't see any with just dials Hazel.
I can turn the dial to choose programme setting.....delicate etc, but the touch screen is for heat and spin control on some programmes. It changes with the slightest touch. It will take awhile I think to get used to it 🤦🏻‍♀️
@Rubee so glad you have heat and hot water again. Hope it gets completely sorted soon .
@Ladybird4 glad you had a lovely day with your sister and BIL and family

Thought I'd pop on and tell you all that the op went well.  The last couple of days have been painful to say the least but at least is over now and I can look forward to Christmas.
