Anyone else getting text messages saying you qualify for £400 heating allowance but need to log into the link provided
Our elderly neighbour just received one of those today. Fortunately, he's not comfortable with doing any online transactions (other than buying stuff on Amazon) so came over to ask us for help.
The internet seems to be a complete and utter free for all in terms of scams. And then there's the false advertising you see all over the place, miracle cures for belly fat and the like, can this stuff really not be regulated somehow? Or have the powers that be just decided not to?

My colleague got called by his bank's security insisting there was a fraudulent attempt to access his account and as a result he needed to move his entire balance to another account. With a new sort code and account number. when he declined, he was passed to the 'manager' to persuade him rather too forcibly.
