Boots is now owned by Walmart in USA, so it is feasible that mails will come from there since they are intent on shutting down and selling off all the Boots HQ in Nottingham.

The Walmart HQ is not where this Email originates. We still get Boots emails from their official email address, so still very suspicious.

I have received an email stating that this advert

is a scam.  The phone number and email address do not match those found on the actual website. I took a look; they certainly don't match.

    How nasty!

To be safe, it seems we have to cross reference everything!

Unfortunately, this type of scam is not that uncommon.  It seems we have to be wary of everyone and everything; that's so exhausting.

The above is particularly nasty as the genuine person is being robbed of business and could also be viewed with suspicion because of the low life using his genuine advert to scam people. 😡😡

I entirely agree with you, Red maple.  This is doubly horrid.

OH is expecting a parcel delivery and, seemingly in relation to that, he received an email today asking him to sign for it...in advance!

    Surely, that cannot be right.

He just laughed and said, "I'm doing no such thing.  They need to try harder!"

The odd thing is that the email address is right.  Is the email poorely expressed, perhaps?  I've never heard of any delivery company asking for a signature before delivery.
