We had a small sprinkle of snow this morning on the roof, didn't settle on the grass. There was also the first frost of the season, the lawn was a bit silvery all day.
We did the weekly shop this morning, Tesco for a change. At last I've found some comfy winter slippers. I hate backless ones. After that we went and had a light lunch in the pretty pub we have been to before.
I have been writing Christmas cards to family in the UK this afternoon. I'll post my UK cards before I go back to France.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Smashing crafts there @Dordogne_Damsel, they look very festive. Sorry you've had such a rotten day @AuntyRach. Big brother Mike has just told me it's snowing still in Manchester, rather him than me. Thanks @Busy-Lizzie, hope flight's okay on the 4th. I actually prefer backless slippers and hate the other sort! I get mine from Moshulu all the time.
Really pleased to see Yvette Cooper promoted to Shadow Cabinet, always been really impressed by her, hoped she would have been leader instead of compo Corbyn.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Totally agree @punkdoc … Ive always been impressed by her too. Extremely competent, a very reliable pair of hands and she can be an inspirational speaker. I’m hoping for a bit more heft from the Shadow front bench now.
I’m to bed now, so night night all … sleep tight. 🛌

Yvette Cooper went to the same Sixth Form College as littlest Chicklet (obviously a few years earlier) so we always follow her with interest.
We woke up to a winter wonderland this morning, but a sunny day has melted most of it.
I now have a tamed mane 🦁. Won’t let Mr C anywhere near it with scissors, so a visit to my lovely hairdresser was needed.
Glad your MiL is now sorted @punkdoc - what an ordeal.
Have just discovered the joys of audible books - keeping me company on car journeys. Bob Mortimer’s biography was great, Michelle Obama’s Becoming was amazing and I am now being fascinated by Dave Goulson and his Garden Jungle 🌴🌵🍀
Milder today. I've been outside to chase the horrible cockerel off my flower beds. Someone dumped it and 5 others in the village. Some were caught but this one is very fast and flies. He wakes me up far too early in the summer.
I like Yvette Cooper too, very intelligent Lady.

Good morning!
Got the lemon tree fleeced in the nick of time - a healthy frost this morning with -5°C and a light covering of white when the sun came up. -1°C to spare!! It is sunny and bright and we should get a high of 10°C this pm although the wind will get up which cools things down somewhat.
@D0rdogne_Damsel Lovely Christmassy photos - looks warm and cosy with all those red colours. I am glad you are having such a good response this Christmas.
@chicky It depends who is reading the book which makes it interesting. Handy at night. Late September, I discovered reading books on my iPad, something I have never done as I prefer the touch of a book. But again, at night (those nocturnal wakeful moments) it's quite handy and the screen goes into a black background with white print.
Good news for your eyesight @Lizzie27 and I hope those things won't come in threes @AuntyRach
I hope you have a pleasant day everyone.

Glad your eyes are all right @Lizzie27.
That all looks so pretty and colourful @D0rdogne_Damsel.

Hubby had his booster shot this afternoon, on advice from his cardiologist, because he is immune compromised from the cancer and treatment.
