It's barely half past nine in the morning and already twelve curmudgeons going at it. I'm hardly awake at this time let alone thinking up what I can be curmudgeonly about. I'm glad I don't have an "active "  mind this early on every day, I'd be as miserable as sin. I would  rather start the day by being positive.

Half past nine may be early in the day for you, but many people have been awake and up for hours.  Posting into the Curmudgeon thread doesn't mean people are miserable, or not positive about life - simply realistic.

If you have to ‘think up’ something to be curmudgeonly about, you’re not a true curmudgeon. It comes naturally. Or perhaps I’m just a misery😀

@Helios. It appears to be instinctive. She has yet to become aware of her latent talent. ( assuming it's a she. Apologies if not.)

I find it very easy to be curmudgeonly first thing in the morning. In fact, that's often when I am most curmudgeonly, until the caffeine kicks in

I’m wondering….can you be considered a true curmudgeon if you actually enjoy being curmudgeonly?

    Definitely. That's the whole point!

    Done @Fairygirl,

Thankfully I've never been in that situation ... must be truly dreadful.

I have @Bee witched , so I speak from experience. There is no fear quite like it. I suppose what also hit home for me is that she's the same age as my younger daughter.
    Thank you for signing.  :)

Unfortunately, I accidentally posted another link initially as it was one I'd subscribed to, but the Gracie one is the one I was referring to.
