Chilterns has been one of the best, most reliable, most efficient, most knowledgeable and most highly recommended suppliers for years.  :)
I rarely use anyone else, apart from when I want something specific and it's not in stock.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Totally agree … Chilterns have been my ‘go to’ seed suppliers  for years … for all the reasons above, plus their economical and environmentally sensitive informative packaging and their amazingly extensive catalogue.

I’ve rarely had the need to go anywhere else.

I sometimes use Eagle for sweet peas, because of their quality [ and David Matthewman or Johnsons are good for those too] but Chilterns have around 40 odd years of experience in all sorts of seed, so they're hard to fault.  :)

Just discovered Chilterns.  I bought lots of Scabios, some poppies, Zinia...

They have seeds of a rare Aconitum carmichaelii, 'Barker's Variety' -- Monk's Hood.  I have seen this in a BBC video, late flowering and covered in Bumble Bees. People are always murdering other people in like Agatha Christie and other mystery books with Aconite.  I moonlight as a mystery writer.  So, this is interesting and I bought some.
  • Went to see my daughter last week, she had 2Flamingo Salix a boggoff complete with pots they are about 100cm tall and named paeony varieties which were £1 each from Gardening Express, all excellent.
  • I have an order with Farmer Gracy and it said in the order that it would be sent in October as that's when the plant is ready (dormant) to be lifted.
Maybe it says when it will be delivered? Usually it does.
  • I have had notification this week from Farmer Gracy that bulbs ordered back in May are on their way to me. 😊

I ordered bulbs 20 August, they arrived yesterday. Excellent looking quality. They do let you know when they despatch them and mine arrived 2 days later.
  • It may depend on what you odered as to when they come - I have use them a number of times and was told specifically when shipments would take place. They are a great company and you get top quality stuff.

I had bulbs arrive from Farmer Gracy this morning. I received an email notification when they left the Netherlands together with a link to track them (with Hermes). They were beautifully packed and came  complete with a discount voucher and a free postcard.
