Would you treat this as a raised bed?

I wish my raised beds would behave more like the ground beds. I find they need a lot more work, but most are quite small and some have wooden bases.

Composting can become a bit addictive if it's your kind of thing. You have been warned! :D

Oh I know that I'll become obsessed with it.  I've already primed the OH and bought different tubs for kitchen waste!

It's the closest thing to magic that I know of.

I may have to start this weekend.  You've got me excited!

While you're here @fire this has popped up in the plants you sent me.....what is it?

  • To my untrained eye it resembles a cyclamen.... @fire *shrug*

Looks like it to me too. Woodruff roots tend to bind with everything around it, so you may have some primroses and linaria in their too. :D

Amazing.  I was washing a mug and spotted it peeping out from under the leyllandi hedge some 60 feet away!

What a lovely bonus.  I saw two other buds so it obviously likes it under there.  The dead nettle a bit further along is loving it too.

In relation to growing veg a raised bed is when the level of the soil is at least 2 foot above the area outside the enclosed area.

His is done to make it easier to tend the plants and protect the plants from some insects.

As this looks like an " enclosed area " I cant see what purpose the brick walls have.

Good luck with deciding what your aims are and then moving them forward.
