@zugenie - I’ve got those, did you order them from Rivelin Glen?
Gripple trellis system looks interesting I'm thinking this would be useful for support system for climbers over the top of my pergola Has anyone used this stuff?
I best not show my amateurish efforts with wires, 1/10 for Artistic Impression, so here are some roses today..
..this thorny creature is 'The Country Parson'.. ...a nice basal on 'Lucky'..
..this is for @Lizzie27 .. I notched this one last year and it threw out a cane, which I've pruned back, now I have 2 nice shoots from it.. just a narrow slit above a dormant bud, doesn't take long.
DA stopped sending me a handbook a few years ago, presumably because I didn’t buy from them for a year or two. A bit defeatist I thought, I might have been tempted back. Although they have recommenced deliveries to the EU, the new varieties are not available, so like the US, we will have to wait for our Sunshine 😢
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
@Nollie, may be it is not so bad. You would know how these new roses are doing before you buy. I did not buy Silas M, The country Parsons and Nye bevan, and only bought Eustacia V after seeing good reviews on this forum.
My little one was saying yesterday, mum spring is coming soon. Lawn is starting to flower. I asked which flowers and she showed me all the dandelions!
True, @newbie77, you can all road test BMS for me. I was so, so tempted to get Crown Princess Margareta, which looks a nicer rose imo, but no more space for floppers or climbers - or anything else really!
Got a great load of perennials from a new French nursery today, they look good and came in the recyclable beige pots. I got several varieties of hardy geraniums, but irritatingly they only provided a label for one of each type, so I had to guess what’s what amongst the multiples. I might order again from them as I have so many gaps in existing borders and some new rose beds to underplant. My current haul:

wish I could have just drilled holes, would have been a lot cheaper

My handbook finally arrived (!!!). Took long enough! Has everyone received theirs now?
