    Good morning gardeners.

Early morning for me this morning.  Clear skies with a high of 28°C this afternoon (according to the radio).

Expression for today :  Saint-Lambert pluvieux, neuf jours dangereux.

    Have a good day.

Good morning Forkers.   Pale sunshine today and lots of cloudy bits but warm enough.  Cooler tomorrow and they're promising rain again.  Ha!

SM raid today as otherwise occupied yesterday.  OH is coming too so all sorts of things will leap in the trolley.  More watering for me this pm and some dahlia picking and dead-heading.   We know how to live!

Has that cat come out yet @tui34?

  • Morning everyone,  we are in Snettisham.  We slipped over the border when you weren't looking Dove 😆
Our trip was delayed as our friends suddenly remembered a midweek appointment,  so we came yesterday.  We have a TomTom but it's very old.  We also like paper maps, we used AA route planner for ages but it's been a bit dodgy lately.

Morning all, dry and sunny/cloudy here but feels cooler than yesterday. I drove OH down to another shopping street nearby to get his hair cut at a proper men's barbers - absolutely refuse to let him go to the Turkish place which is nearer as they butcher his hair and it looks jolly awful. While I was waiting I nipped into the local small SM to get the paper and joy of joys, was able to get hold of two packets of Birds Eye Instant Custard! Haven't been able to get hold of those for ages. We use skimmed milk which doesn't make great custard so the Instant stuff is useful.

You're very quiet lately @Hostafan1, are you okay?

Just found out that my sister's partner has got pleurisy in his right lung and my younger brother with the heart problem has now got a high PSA level, neither of which is good news so I hope they will be okay. Both were hoping to come to the big family 'do' we're planning in early October.

I must get on so have a good day everyone.

    Series 2 Episode 1:

My OH  (who was sleeping in another room because someone - we won't say who - was snoring) came out to the kitchen to say that he was having a conversation with the cat.  I went into the bedroom and said the cat is just under the window.  Of course not!  But he went out and came back and said there is another cat, seems injured lying on the ground just under the window.  I assured him, it is the same cat - how it got out of from under the hood and crawled out of the garage and into the yard - it let us stroke it and seemed OK.  SO - OH donned some gloves and picked it up.  We've put it onto a cushion with a saucer of milk in the shed.  Rang the vet at 9am who told me that they have a full day today - SO I have an appointment with another vet at 2pm to get it checked for a chip and look at the injuries.

I have rung the Council, other vets, the local constabulary to see if anyone has misplaced a moggy.  I rang an association called Les Chats Libres and they are lending me a cage to transport it to the vet.

Yes @Obelixx   The cat is out!
