Not so good for the people losing their jobs and all the dogs being put down.
I'm sure none of those folk were concerned about the foxes being killed and if they love their dogs, they can keep them as pets until they go to the big kennel in the sky
No one complains about the loss of high street banks putting bank robbers out of work. Why support illegal activity just to save jobs? Why have hunts been breeding extra dogs since the ban on fox hunting in 2004 just for 'trail hunts'? A large pack of hounds to follow a trail? The hunts should be down to just a few dogs by now if they weren't hoping their Tory mates would repeal the ban against public will.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
I wonder whether the attitude will change in the future when we are over-run with foxes. They are the same as rats in my opinion and nobody seems to mind killing those. Foxes are perceived to be cuddly though and rats are not.
There is already a problem with badgers killing all the hedgehogs in this area and I know which ones I'd rather have.

The National Trust has banned trail hunting on its land. Hunting foxes with dogs has been banned for 17 years.

@Lizzie27 does have a point. There are many people who will lose their jobs if hunting is banned altogether. I don't mean fox hunting, trail hunting was supposed to mean keeping hunting without the cruelty. People make the clothes, red jackets etc, they look after hounds (which are not suitable pets), they provide meat and food for the hounds and the horses etc. Farriers won't be so much in demand, ditto vets, for hunts. I'm sure there are more people who depend on hunts for their employment.
It's a shame if hunts abuse the rules, but how many have? Is is just a few or are a lot of hunts still hunting foxes and trying to hide it?
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I'll put my tin hat on now.
The LAST thing fox hunters want is NO foxes.
