That Polish/Glaswegian chap on the news earlier today was very polite, I thought. He clearly hasn't been in Glasgow long or he wouldn't just have said 'b*gger off'.... :D

@Lyn - the same way as all those doctors we were going to have by 2020 according to the fragrant Mr Cameron's statement of 5 or 6 years ago.

and didn't Bojo The Clown promise us 40 new hospitals? and to replace the 20,000 police officers sacked by Mrs Mayhem?

It would be nice just to have some police officers round here... :/

I hate to think what Glasgow's going to be like in November with this bl**dy climate bunfight. I'm just glad my girls don't have to go in there for work.
The criminals will be  having a field day, or ten, while all the cops are otherwise engaged.

They rounded up hundreds of policemen from every area of the U.K. for G7,  they all came down here, COVID and all.

We've had helicopters almost every day for the last couple of weeks. I can only assume it's for ' a practice'.
Do you think any of them have thought of the irony of that?

My niece's husband has a 60 mile round trip to work.  He went out at 5:30 am on Saturday to make sure he had fuel for this week.

No they didn't @KT53, and we all know how stupid people can be, but he should have been more honest about the situation. If it isn't in a petrol pump, it's no use.
There are lorry drivers unable to get fuel - in order to deliver the fuel.... :/

The full, honest answer would have been along the lines of "There isn't a shortage of fuel.  However there is an excess of idiots panic buying, thereby creating a problem at the pump"

I wonder how many folk admit to "panic buying" compared to those who believe THEY have a perfectly valid reason why THEY need fuel, it's just the other folk eh?

When the first lockdown took place and people were uncertain of what the outcome would be, our little local garage said key workers only for fuel.
