The chap who condemned our very old Bosch recommended a Miele. It was the one he had himself. So that's the one I got. He advised not to go for the top of the range as It is padded out with useless programs like trainer washing cycle. It works fine and seems pretty solid. Very quiet too if that matters to you.
I once met a truck driver who normally collects from a whitegoods manufacturing site on the continent. He often had to wait you be loaded. While waiting it amused him to see the trucks containing washing machines with the brands emblazoned on their trailers. He said pretty much all the main brands left today factory. He did say then but I only recall Indesit, hotpot, zanussi, whirlpool. It was washing machines and fridgrs/freezers
Does anyone know a good tree surgeon? My willow tree is getting out of control. I bought this back in 2017 and to be fair it did say 'slow growing' on the label. Last year it peaked at 21cm tall. This year it has finally crept over 22cm  Salix Boydii if anyone is interested. A vegetative clone of the only known plant in existence which was discovered in Scotland in the 1890s. The parent plant at the alpine nursery looked very sculptural but at this growth rate it must have been 50 years old at least.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
The only difference being the badge isn't restricted to white goods. Some years ago two car manufacturers had vehicles which looked suspiciously similar. The only differences between the vehicles were the grill, interior trim and the name on the engine. However one came with a 3 year warranty and the other with just 1 year!
Why can't 'slebs' just allow the aging process to happen? I saw a photo of Duncan, formerly of Blue, who is going to be on Stricty. He had died his hair, beard and eyebrows jet black - his hair wasn't black when he was young.
It scared the **** out of me I thought Pavarotti or David Guest had been reincarnated.
I don't know how old you are @wild edges but you may see it reach maturity in your lifetime.... the RHS says 20- 50 years! Â
Do people write plants into their wills? I've seen a couple of posts on the British Cactus and Succulent forum where someone has died and left their family with the dilemma of what to do with a large collection of specialist plants. My dad's aunt turns 100 this week though so I might have the genes to outlive it.

I thought Duncan was on Celebrity Masterchef!  If he's on Strictly too he's getting about a bit. Â
@wild edges I don't see why not. I'd certainly not leave any plants to Possum or OH given their current levels of expertise and interest in caring for them. Much rather they went to people who like them and know which way is up.
