Hi Wonky. Yes I can even hear the rain, which is rare for my old ears. The whole place needs water. I noticed yesterday that the Plumcot has suddenly burst into flower, so isn’t that typical that now we have rain to spoil the display. 😡.
Good morning Forkers. Just wound up the PC to check the forecast - 27C later and sunny all day - so I know what to wear to go to patch meeting and workshop today.
Our mimosas are definitely tree-shaped and height @Pat E and just a tad invasive - babies and suckers everywhere and we've had to do a lot of crown lifting. I find the acid yellow flowers with the glaucous foliage quite hard on the eye but from a distance they do brighten up a winter's day.
Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing.

Looks like it will be a nice day weather-wise. However, I'm working and there seems to be a lot of activity outside. I suspect drilling and terrible, loud singing will be naffing me off today! They were chucking these barriers around at 7.30am but at least they found somewhere appropriate to dump them
Good morning all ☕ I did pop in earlier ... about 6am ... didn't I say Hello? How rude of me ... please accept my apologies ... but I have changed the bedlinen and cleaned the bathroom ... so please am I excused? ... Now I'm on my third coffee ...

I meant to say we have an overcast and muggy morning here in Norfolk ... but they're promising better things ... temps in the low to mid 20s for this week ... I'm comfortable with that ... and as my son will be working at a relatively local festival and camping for a large part of the time it seems that there's no risk of him and his colleagues being flooded out and turning up on our doorstep in the middle of the night ... phew! Not really wanting to give houseroom to a group of folk who've been at a festival ... but what do you do if they turn up sodden and dripping ... I suppose they could have an air mattress in the garage ...
Plans for today include making some bread rolls and waving a duster and 'hoover' around upstairs (actually a Panasonic) ...

Morning, Wonky, where are we! I was on the road at 7.30. Daughter at work before 7,her 5 month old recently repaired laptop being collected, originally they said between 9am and 8pm so I came over. Just got a text to say it's being collected between 3 and 4. Have got veg to deliver to both reg disabled sons while waiting. Love to Yviei, been there done that (got the scar to prove it!)
Mondayitis @WonkyWomble !! How is your back this morning? Mattresses do make a difference - an old idea is to put a plank of wood under the soft mattress.
Nice day today. Have harvested a lot of mini red peppers - I will stuff them with tuna etc. They do go down well with a glass of chilled white! Easy does it!
@Pat E Lovely "end of winter" blue skies in your photos - the Acacias are looking lovely in the cooler weather.
@D0rdogne_Damsel Enjoy your holiday with Charlie. He'll love having you all to himself for a while. Probably the last mad week this week before tourists head back for back to school preparations, I hope you get a nice "manageable" crowd in after this week.
@Busy-Lizzie Nearly home. Nice weather I hope for a drive! Take your time.
Yet another grey muggy start here, though it was supposed to be better this week we will see. Sorry to hear about your situation @Yviestevie, hope things start to look up for you. Regards to all.
Morning folks. Thanks for all your kind words. I’m doing my best to stay positive but it’s proving to be a bit of a challenge at the moment. Had a lousy night with lots of frustrating dreams. I’m going to look at flooring for the kitchen later. No other plans for today.

As I write, the drilling starts
