Good morning again. today's dilemma. Given it takes at least 10 working days to get a Blue Badge, is it worth the agro and £10 to apply?
How much of a difference would it make for you two to have one? I find it comes in handy for hospital appointment parking for my Dad but not much else. I think the GP has to sign something too so there’s a weak link right there. I hope you are both comfy and cosy.

I have a DS1500 form ( less than 6 months to live ) so all I'd have to do is to upload it onto the online form. I had to tell someone at DWP yesterday what the DS1500 form is. I referred to it as "the Death Sentence 1500 form"
I enjoyed meeting fellow Forkers too. Lovely to meet @didyw for the first time. I hadn't seen the gardens at this time of year, not so many roses out, lots of perennials and cosmos, also weeds, nettles etc. But I was tempted by the plant sales, not much room in the garden though and they hadn't got the plant I wanted. Didn't understand why their Westerland roses are about a metre tall and mine keep shooting up to 3 metres!
It was a girly outing @Hostafan1. Can't talk about OHs when they are there!
I don't like airports and flying either but needs must with OH living in England and me in France. It's quicker than driving. But I don't want to risk it with Covid about, our flights were cancelled last year.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Sienna Hosta are exhibiting at Rosemoor Flower Show on Friday. I've tickets booked for 10am, but I'm NOT buying anything. ( he says with fingers crossed behind back )
Had a quick skim. Who does like airports? Not me either!
Me Me Me 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️ I love airports and planes …..it’s all sooooo exciting. Maybe love them slightly less on the way home 😉. But that’s a small price to pay in my book. Can’t wait to get out there travelling again 🤞🏻🤞🏻. Quite happy for you lot to stay at home though 🏡. Horses for courses and all that 😉
Just back from first live Garden Club lecture since March 2020. Had an amazing turnout…. spent most of my evening putting out more chairs🪑 . Lovely enthusiastic speaker ….great way to restart.
We had strong winds yesterday and it was rather cool. Last night we could hear rain 👏👏, and when I went out to the verandah to check the rain gauge this morning, I noticed that one of our water tanks was on its side. Hmm. We will need to go up the hill and stand it up again and pump some bore water into it so that it can’t be blown over again. It’s only a small tank and we haven’t used it since summer because there are no garden beds being used up there over winter. There are potatoes in there, but they can look after themselves.
We’ve been up the hill to pick up the small tank and subsequently fill it.
Lucky it was attached to the various pipes, or it might have ended up rolling down the hill. 😡. At least the potatoes, just below the ridge, won’t be poking their heads out until spring.
Our son just rang to say that Canberra is now in lockdown. He has been to the market to buy food and it’s gridlocked with cars and the same with the more expensive little shop near his place. Not a happy fellow. At least he has leftovers in his freezer that he has been ignoring in favour of more tempting new food. You never know, he might even get to clean out his freezer at last. 🙄👏
It’s still cloudless here today. Not too cold in the sun. I took the opportunity to pick up more sticks for the fire while I was up on the hill. It all helps to keep the fire chugging along. 😁

Well done to the twins @Allotment Boy. As a father of twins born at 31 weeks, I know exactly where you're coming from
