  • Good morning @Dovefromabove and everyone. Not sure what today will bring.Ā
The Man wants to go to a local Parkrun but I’m a bit more reluctant just yet.Ā
Other than that…..I’m pondering what to plant into my shade garden, which I will one day havešŸ™„
Hope you all have a good day

    Good morning Forkers.

Have been up quite a while and seen to the cats' breakfast, the dogs' daily arthritis meds and toothy chew, let the chooks out and gave them a sliced banana and fed the wild birds.Ā  Ā Coat of spray on the radiator, minor repairs to plaster - only find all the wee knocks and holes when you start painting - and am having a cuppa while all that dries.

Saw the luscious Owain doing the forecast on main BBC new this morning in his new, golden suit.Ā  Fabulous.Ā  Ā

Very blowy here and a storm due later so a good day to be painting.Ā  We should all be having better weather by Tuesday which is good timing as I'll be free to garden.

    Good morning @Dovefromabove and @Obelixx, @SilviSherr,
good evening @Pat E, glad you've had your second jab,Ā  rest yourself,Ā  I still have a sore arm over 6 weeks after my second one but I'm still glad I had it!

My bad back doesn't like our mattress and only improves when I sleep in the spare room!! Really can't afford a new king size mattress right now so back to the spare room I go!!

Glad the new glasses are an improvement @Dovefromabove! Should make counting stitches easier!!

@Obelixx can't believe how much you have managed to get done already!! I'm still on first coffee!!

Glad you've had your second shots now @Pat EĀ Ā  :disappointed:

The luscious Owain is unknown to me @Obelixx, as is his golden suit ... I'm not a morning tv person, except for the Olympics ... we record the overnight and early morning stuff, then everything else gets fast forwarded if it attempts to interrupt.Ā  We have got the live diving on now, while I drink another coffee ... then I'll make the sourdough pizza bases and tomato 'jam' for our Saturday supper and head out to the farm shop for some onions, potatoes and a few more bits and pieces.Ā Ā

Morning all,Ā  we are supposed to be going to a hogroast today but we have steady rain at the moment ! This is a family gathering for OHs great auntie who died in January and they couldn't have a proper wake.Ā

Allotment Boy, what a lovely idea to have a hog roast wake! I must make a suggestion for my family for when I eventually go! Too many veggie relatives to make the hog roast an option, but money for a party, and maybe my ashes could attend! IĀ hope it can go ahead for you, despite the weather.
Lovely bright morning here, but the Met Office radar shows a horrendous rainstorm creeping towards us, should be here within the next half hour. We are finishing our breakfast coffee and watching Olympic cycling.

Love a hog roast!Ā  You can see me out with one of those (after all I did grow up on a pig farm! ;) )Ā  What a good way to meet up with family and friends to celebrate/commemorate family events of all sorts.Ā  @WonkyWomble and her Lovely Hub had a Hog Roast followed by a visit from an ice cream 'trike'Ā  for their wedding ... and the afternoon entertainment was a Caribbean Steel Band.Ā Ā

Good morning! Ā  Raining, raining, raining!!! Ā Glad of it as it waters my neighbours' gardens also. Ā I sowed some more Mesclun yesterday evening, so the ants shouldn't escape with most of the seeds and the birds are tucked up in their nests.

@WonkyWomble Ā  Ā We have an hour's advantage on the UK - so of course we get more done!!

    Inside games today!

    Have a good day.
