The blackbird was in no hurry to deliver the takeaway brekkie to the nest - hung around for ages posing for photos on my abbreviated morning patrol.

I definitely want to finish before November @Ladybird4. I'm not a big fan of work ;) Just had a call offering me a job early in 2022 as well. There's a lot to be said for not having a mobile phone!

Its turned rather cloudy now. I'm going to go in the garden and do a bit of weeding.  I need to get some fresh air. Still have a bit of a headache hoping being outside for awhile will clear it.
Love the snoopy pic @Ladybird4 Have a lovely catch up with your friend.
@debs64 take it easy today. I hope the chat with your colleague on Saturday helps. Wise not to Google anything, things like that would worry me too. Hope your daughter finds the book helpful. Look after yourself too Debs. Best wishes and hugs.
@Chivetalking naughty girl for wearing your rings gardening 😉 Glad it's only 2 weeks for your ring to be repaired. I take mine off for gardening, washing up and the unmentionables.
@Biglad great photo of hungry posing Blackbird  Hope the job is going well.
Off out in the garden before it rains.
    Have a lovely day everyone

Spent some time in the garden and weeded and dead headed the roses.  After all the rain we've had lately everything is looking very green and healthy. Shrubs have shot up and out and the plants in pots are full of flower. Still sunny here and quite warm, but there's a slight breeze  which is nice.
Feeling better after the fresh air and sunshine.
Hope you're all having a lovely day.

Afties all. SGL, you are lucky to have sunshine. I was halfway home when the rain started and its so dark here I need the lights on. I came home a bit earlier as I was expecting some plants - postie beat me to it and left a message to say that the package was in the blue (paper) bin. Plants look nice and healthy. Had a good chat with Bestie and we will see one another again tomorrow as six of us are going out for a meal.

Chive, I was sent this today which was rather spooky considering our conversation earlier. I thought it might make you smile:

Afternoon All, washed out the solar fountain today it was getting a lot of algae in the water,
@star gaze lily SGL I am a naughty girl 😔 I do wear garden gloves when I’m working outside…most of the time 😬 Pleased to hear that the fresh air has helped to clear your headache. It has been a nice temperature today, getting a bit blowy now though.
No sign of Hazel or Bluebells yet, hope you are both ok.
    Have a nice evening everyone.

Afternoon all. Have now arrived at the karting circuit. As per, it's a bit noisy and lots going on - and 90% of people don't arrive until tonight or tomorrow morning. Restful it won't be!

Stopped at Coton Manor on the way but I was later than planned due to A14 closure (lorry fire) and the heavens opened as I pulled into the car park. Didn't fancy walking round the gardens in the rain but what I could see was beautiful. Had a nice lunch and a mooch round the excellent nursery instead. No purchases made but I would have been sorely tempted if they'd had an agapanthus 'Navy Blue' available. Some in the display garden were a stunning really deep blue colour.

Off to Canons Ashby tomorrow - thunderstorms forecast - deep joy😎

Chive - I only wear 2 rings - wedding & engagement. Like you I just wear them all the time and hardly ever take them off - sometimes for painting but never for gardening or household tasks. Don't even take my watch off for washing up 🤭
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    Tut tut @Topbird that's naughty too 🤭
Shame it rained once you arrived at Coton Manor, could you make a visit on the way home? Love Agapanthus, lost mine over winter this year.
@Ladybird4 glad you  had a lovely chat and catch up. Think your rain has arrived here too, absolutely pouring down for the last hour. But at least I got some garden jobs done.
Thank you @Chivetalking head is much better now.
Hope you're ok Hazel and Rosie 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️ hi from me if you're looking in.

    Evening everyone,
@Ladybird4 I’m sorry I don’t know why your posts weren’t there when I popped in before but that picture has made me roll up 😂 Glad you had a nice chat with bestie and you have a meal to look forward to tomorrow, have you both decided on your menu? (Before seeing the specials that is 🙂)
Topbird Nice to know you’ve arrived safely. I can just imagine the noise at an event like that, ear defenders at the ready. I’m glad I’m not the only naughty one keeping their rings on, I have dunked my watch before too 😶
SGL Rain here too we must have made the most of it today 😊

    Evening all,

I don't wear any jewellery (or have any) but I'm sure that I'd constantly be losing it if I did. I only wear a watch when training or on running-around-a-field duties. Don't wear hats or have tattoos or any adornments at all, really. What a dull chap, eh  ;)

For the most part it has been decent weather today. In fact, it's been good all week whilst I've been sitting at the dining room table chained to my two laptops :(

Just had a nice little downpour whilst I was contemplating a run to de-stress. Perhaps I'll watch the cricket highlights instead ;)
