It looks as if I didn’t say good morning … very remiss of me, but it’s been a funny sort of day … I’ll say goodnight and hope that everyone has sweet dreams 🛌 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑

Evening all. Hazel, I have to be careful around wasps as I suffer anaphylaxis if stung (armed and dangerous with EpiPen) but I am not scared of them. In fact last year they built a nest in one of my vacant bird boxes on the wall near the front door. I leave them alone and fingers crossed I've not been stung for over 10 years. As T'Bird says, they are good pollinators and they also kill pests like caterpillars so are useful in the garden.

Great bee house LB, the leaf cutter bees are making good use of it. Hope you can get your Grandmothers ring resized that’s very special. Goodnight.
SGL I can’t believe you have rain again, but atleast you were able to get into the garden today. I hadn’t thought of making a claim, but it hasn’t worked out too costly fortunately.
Hazel Glad your shopping trip was better today, I hope you can find a good solution to the wasps nest.
Pleased Alfie is better Bluebells, don’t like to see them in distress or out of sorts.
Goodnight everyone, I hope you all get a decent nights rest.

We had a wasp nest under our door step many years ago .We got a chap in to move them . He put so much protective clothing on he looked ready for a moon walk .I wasn’t frightened of them but I was concerned that the cats would catch some . Anything moving quickly and they pounce.
    Good night everyone .

We had a wasp nest years ago in another house. They got in through the facia just under the roof. We had to get someone in as they'd made a hole through to the ceiling in one of the spare bedrooms. Thankfully they stayed in that one room.  They  got rid of all of them very quickly.

    Great bee house @Ladybird4
Good night everyone, hope we all get a good night's sleep. Sweet dreams.
  • Good morning all to follow.  Well I haven’t had a wink of sleep.  I’ve had some cereal and a cup of tea.  I’m entertained through the night with the Olympics though.  I stayed in bed until 2am then decided to get up.  I hope you all have had a better night, fingers crossed.
