@Ladybird4 Science are interesting subjects to teach most children find one that speaks to them more it was Physics, Chemistry or Biology when I was in senior school. I’m sorry to hear the reason you had to take early retirement from teaching LB, I’m glad you are fully recovered from your cancer. If my memory serves Joyce was a teacher too.
Good Morning Topbird, They certainly are entertaining 😊 I hope your drip line takes care of things while you enjoy a few days away.
That's a long time Hazel! - lots of hackneyed old jokes spring to mind but I'll just wish you a very happy day and hope the years have been happy ones.🙂

Morning T'Bird. Perhaps in homage to Biglad we should all call our hoses 'Monty'! Nice to have a trip away too. Please remember where you put the wee fringe brush this time. I cut loads off my fringe this morning after my shower. I wouldn't let my hairdresser cut it when he did the back but I hadn't reckoned on how quickly it would grow. Now I can see again!
Hazel, my sis and bro-in-law have their 47th anniversary this month, on the same day as T'Bird's.

Phew - but it's warm out there! Only went out to the motorhome to turn the fridge on - that was about an hour and a half ago.... Somehow managed to do a bit of staking, edged the grass, bit of dead heading and generally bumbled about smelling the roses. Loads of bees and butterflies enjoying he roses and buddleia. Now I really MUST on with some proper jobs - when I've finished this cuppa.
LB - even I'm not daft enough to actually PUT my hairbrush in the car seat runner 😁

PS. Has anybody been to Coton Manor? Is it really, really good? Too good to miss?
It's very close to where we'll be staying. OH is karting all weekend so I'm definitely having a day at Bletchley Park (soooo interesting) and a trip to Canons Ashby - but wondering if I should also try to make a space for Coton. Only problem is the weather forecast isn't great - don't really do gardens in the rain.☔️

I just realised how my post read T'Bird. I'm a twonk! Sadly, the places you have mentioned haven't been visited yet but my 'to do' list gets ever longer every year. One lot of wet things on the whirligig. Lily's TV working again. I'm going for it despite the fading sunlight! Hope Busy is having a nice time in Yorkshire.

lily lily and Chive I’ve just woken up and have had a couple of hours sleep and do feel better for it. LB I’m sure you were much missed at the school. You’ve been through a battle and you have to praise yourself because it can’t have been easy and you will have missed teaching, your colleagues and the pupils. I’m proud of you for what you have achieved. Go girl. We are lucky to have you here with us and value your many lovely messages and good advice.
Good afternoon everyone, Hazel Wow 48 years! 🥳 will you be having a celebratory dinner this evening? Hope you’ve managed to resolve the wasp issue,
Sorry Topbird i can’t help with any personal recommendations, perhaps let the weather decide unless you have to book in advance,
LB You’ve been busy, hope you’ve managed to get everything dry, Bluebells Glad you’ve managed to have a few hours sleep, hope you have a better night tonight,
Nel had her booster at the vets, she has gained a little weight since last year so we need to reduce the amount of biscuits.
RosieBB, thank you so much for your kind words. I am sure that many other people have had personal struggles that they've had to deal with and don't make a fuss about so lets all just be heroes each in our own way. All part of life's rich tapestry.
Chive, the Vet told me that Lily had put on weight - not that she's a little porker - but the Vet said that this was good in her case.
