Hello folks ...  hope you've all had a good morning ... I had a busy one ... I was at the farm shop by 9am and home by 9.45 andnow we're all stocked up for the next week at least.  After that was unpacked, sanitised, put away , I spent some time in the studio working on a little something for someone special ... while that's drying I'll have a ham sandwich and watch the start of the athletics ..............

Marti: definition according to the group he sang with - Wet Wet Wet. Biglad introduced that several weeks back Busy when we were inundated with rain showers.
Soz, Hazel I missed that you had already explained it to Busy. Busy, you can ignore my post!

I've just been chatting to Sameena - our lovely Joyce's daughter. It would have been Joyce's birthday last Monday and on that day they had her ashes interred next to her husband. Sameena says that the garden at Joyce's home is being well looked after. Thought you who knew Joyce on the forum would like to hear that bit of news.

Thank you LB, I remember Joyce. Her passing was so sad.

@Biglad seems to be a trendsetter with names!

I have done almost nothing all day  :)

I heard a rumour Busy that Biglad is writing a new Urban Dictionary There is nothing wrong with doing nothing either. You have been very busy Busy so taking a day off is fine.

  • LB it’s good to have reminders of Joyce.  It is good she is at rest now with her husband.  It was kind of Sameena to let you know.  I hope Sameena is doing okay.

    Evening everyone🙂

LB - thank you for passing on the news from Sameena. Good to hear Joyce's beautiful garden is being cared for - it was a little oasis and very, very pretty.

BL - so now you know what Marti is - can you work out what "Getting a bit Winkleman now"  is? Bit of a clue - my husband would probably prefer it to be "Getting a bit Schiffer now" Another Big Ladism.

Hazel - so pleased to hear you've had some good news - keep it going!

Going to have some soup in a minute. OH was going to make a paella for dinner, but I suddenly started feeling very queasy on the way home from dumping the hedge trimmings at the tip and can't face anything more substantial than soup. He's now driving to his mates (they're karting in the Cotswolds tomorrow) and will pick up f&c's on the way. Just the thought is giving me the boak (as Joyce or Fairygirl might say!)
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

T'Bird, sorry to hear you are feeling a bit Uncle Dick (one more for you Biglad!). Dry toast might have been a better bet or maybe just water. Hope it soon passes and you feel better soon.
