Just got back from an evening run and the first utterance when I switched on the BBC's Olympic coverage was, "Now I love me some table tennis so I'm super-excited...."
I didn't catch the rest as I'd got to the remote by then I can't watch some of the coverage in real time as the fast forward facility is an absolute must!
Hello folks πΒ hope everyone has had a restful night β¦ definitely no need to water the garden today β¦ think the squash plants may need water wings πΒ
Gardening in Central NorfolkΒ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I just spotted the refuse collectors who hadn't been able to empty the green bins (garden and food waste) last Thursday because of the road being up so I dashed outside, called to the man walking behind the wagon and when he said they were trying to catch up I put mine and neighbour's bin out to be emptied I was so glad about that as my green bin was 'alive'! I'll leave that to your imaginations as I don't want to upset Hazel!
Thought For Today
Senility
has been a smooth transition for me. I may not be that funny or
athletic or good looking or smart or talented...... I've forgotten where
I was going with this.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning everyone .Dove itβs been raining here during the night . TBird ,how are you today ? I hope you are feeling better . LB itβs good that you saw the refuse van . Your neighbours will be pleased that you put their bin out for them .Have a good day everyone .
LB I am getting some ideas together for presents for the f:::::e season .I love to make gifts itβs very relaxing .I need to get into the garden at some point this weekend .I have some planting to do.
I am going to put my new plant purchases into the GH for now. They will be happier out there until I decide which pot I am going to put them all into. I think its a crafting day for me after a few jobs in the garden - the bird feeders need filling again for one.

I hope @Topbird is feeling better today. That was a mammouth hedge job.
A local community pub is having a beer festival and hog roast today so we'll go to that at lunchtime. The pub was unloved, rundown and closed when the village took it over and they've made a great job. The inside has been renovated, lots of character, beams, fireplaces, and the garden is well cared for and re-planted.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
