Dear All, having been the one to start this thread I really wont you to look at the flowers at close up. However those who do so with the pollinators add to the thread. I know that it has evloved and that is great but hopefully it will allow more to add to this great thread.
Fabulous photos from so many. Please keep them coming as they really do make you look at the great flowers in your garden
@bertrand-mabel thanks for that. I was aware that I was straying off topic a little. Threads do evolve though and I'm glad you're happy with it. One question I have for everyone though is what do we take shots of as autumn and winter take hold when there are no more flowers or insects?
I wondered whether anyone might be interested in a new thread over autumn/winter of leaves, bark and seedheads perhaps?
I was thinking of making it even broader, so anything gardening related. I took some fun shots in a friends potting shed once, for example. And that would also make it not necessarily close up but finding new angles to look at things we would not otherwise give a second glance at.

I think is misread this first time round, that you were ok with it evolving, with us including seed heads, leaves and pollinators, but reading Plantminded's reply I'm not so sure. I hope it's ok to keep including them as I think they all add to encouraging us to look close up, at flowers of course but maybe at plants that don't have flowers (or what would would call flowers) but that have beautiful foliage, at those gorgeous seed heads.

I like that idea too @NormandyLiz, why not start an appropriate thread? The more things to occupy us here as winter approaches, the quicker it will be over and we can get digging and pruning again!

Also, lovely pictures everyone 👍
I imagine bark will be easier to photograph, as it's less likely to be blowing in the wind than salvia, for example.
😊
