    Update on Husband.
He was Sectioned yesterday and is now in Barnstaple Hospital awaiting a bed to become available in a psychiatric unit.
On Thursday the nearest available was in Northampton, 237 miles away. Yesterday there were NONE.
Gotta luv the Caring Conservative Government eh?

    That's a heartening story @Dovefromabove.

The Fat Hen et al are coming up in a new bed we have made in what has been pasture for centuries so lots of weed seeds lurking in there plus the ubiquitous bindweed and apple mint.  It's going to need constant vigilance for some time.

It is grey and cool here and OH has left early to go and play golf north of Nantes.    I shall go and see if I can make our back fence hen proof and stop them sliding under the stock mesh to go and see Luc's cow barns and beyond.

    Have a good day everyone.

@Hostafan1 … sending huge hugs … I know what you’ve been going through and the awful situation you’ve found yourself in …
it’s a tragedy and we send you much love and support. Take time for yourself now, treat yourself kindly. None of this is your fault … I know you’ve done everything you could to keep him and yourself safe but it’s out of your hands now. We’re here (( huge hugs)) xx

I am so very sorry @Hostafan1 and hope you can find a place soon and some relief.   I really don't think the shade of govt makes any difference.   None of them make enough provision for mental health care and treatment.

@Hostafan1 hopefully after a period of assessment, the docs will be able to identify some medication that will enable a suitable place to be found in one of the care homes specialising in acute dementia care nearer to you. Hugs xx

Poor Hostafan. Not much I can say, apart from feeling so sorry for you both.

Oh heck Hosta. That seems to have been a quick progress since you first let us know about him. 🤭. I really hope something positive can be organised for him and of course for you to be able to cope with your new situation. Many hugs from me.
