Hello silvisherr how did you find us? You couldn't go after it Dove, impossible to see or move through these thickets.Hubby did this route to work for 8 years saw deer on a daily basis, sometimes in unexpected places, but never on this spot, just off a roundabout with banks
Found the Forum by accident but knew about GW website. I blame Lockdown for all the sudden Deer appearances!!
We never used to see them during our walks…now we see them quiet often
We enjoyed lunch at the community pub, 20 different local beers to choose from, beer festival. The sun came out and it felt pretty warm so we sat in the garden.
Hello all and welcome @SilviSherr. We're back from the family wedding in Oxford we went to, a much bigger do than I was expecting, around 150 guests. As expected, the weather was absolutely awful, it poured with rain so I got wet just getting in the taxi, then even wetter walking from the town hall down to the boating stage. The ceremony took some time as it was conducted first in English, then repeated in Polish, the bride's home country. We were all given small pebbles of 'fools gold' which we had to hold while we made a wish then these were collected by two little flower girls, mingled in a bowl to signify the joining of two families, then given to the happy couple. A Polish tradition presumably. The reception was supposed to be an open air event with a hog roast but we all ended up in a big marquee instead which was freezing cold and very draughty with a howling gale blowing through - good ventilation though! It was lovely to catch up with all the relatives and their little ones we hadn't seen for ages but it was a very long tiring day. Unfortunately the journey home today was equally tiring, we found the M4 closed at the junction we needed so all the minor roads around were gridlocked. M4 queues at a standstill for miles heading east, felt so sorry for those folks trying to go on holiday, weddings, airports or funerals etc.
A mostly grey day but ideal for tidying the area of the garden by the back gate aka junk yard! Found a fern growing next to the wall so I pulled it out and potted it up.
I can’t remember the last time I was in a traffic jam (or a wedding for that matter) - probably because I haven’t been anywhere much 😂
Hope everyone having a decent weekend. Home-made burgers for tea here.
Miserable here, everytime I went outside it started to rain……think it’s trying to telling me something???😂😂 Made Dinner, baked Oat Cakes and now I’m knitting.
Fingers crossed for better everything tomorrow. I want to go for a run in the morning then tackle some weeds. Highlight of my day…..walking the dog.
What are you knitting @SilviSherr? I’m currently testing my patience and my eyesight with some dark navy lace-weight silk & merino … I’ve not knitted fine lacework for years … and my new glasses don’t arrive for another ten days 🤯 🤓 🧶 Much more unpicking and I’ll return to knitting woolly hats for the rough sleepers of Norwich and gardening family members 😂
