Went to our local Waitrose just before lunch, looked like the plague of locusts had beaten me to it. The breakfast cereal section was practically empty. It would seem that supply issues are getting worse given the number of blank sections throughout the shop.

    I've lit the fireΒ  :/
    I've put the heating on.
I looked up the weather for my house in France and it's a mix of grey, rain and sunny periods, cool - most unusual for this time of year.

Good bargains @Hostafan1, my bunch of asparagus in M&S yesterday was Β£2.

Snap the ends off, the snapping point is where it is tender. Put in boiling water, simmer for a few minutes (I don't know how thick it is), drain and serve with hollandaise sauce, mayonnaise or butter. Simples, but there are other things you can do with it.

I'm sure @Dovefromabove has lots of ideas, but I like it simple. Yum.
