Poor ward etiquette there. I thought patients had to use headphones in an open ward. Matron AuntyRach wouldn’t allow it 😉. Having said that, I have set up TVs in a bay of patients who ALL wanted to watch the same thing - usually the Rugby.

Right, I am settling in for the tennis…🎾🍓

The tennis was bad enough, but then it became Songs of Praise.  >:)

Ooof - that’s hard to take.

You’ll be pleased when the tennis is back on then 😅

Frankly @Hostafan1, if he's asleep, just turn down the volume and hide the remote - after changing the channel to one showing a drag queen competition!  At least complain to the nursing staff who should be aware that excess noise is not conducive to the rest and recuperation of other patients.

I was in hosp. a few years ago with a kidney infection and the family visiting the patient opposite had the tv on loud and they sat around watching it.  So selfish.  Some people feel entitled to do just what they want (inc. leaving litter around which really makes my blood boil - I suspect they are the same kind of people who don't have consideration for others in hospital wards). But - lovely rainbow @Hostafan1 - means there's hope.  Not surprised OH was grumpy what with everything he is having to endure.
I have a book to refresh myself about (Where the Crawdads Sing) for book club tomorrow evening.  Whoever introduces a book has to say something about the author at the beginning and then give their opinion on the book at the end. This is my book so I have to see if I can find something that everyone else won't have said by the time it comes around to me.  OH has the tennis on though so I might curl up on the bed with it.  And if I fall asleep - so be it.  I shall have energy to shout for England later.
    Happy birthday to Mr. E @Pat E!

How did the book appeal @didyw ?  It’s one I’ve been thinking of getting …

I enjoyed it very much @Dovefromabove, especially the close nature observations. The heroine has something of the noble savage about her.  It's a worldwide bestseller so I'm not alone in liking it!
