I’d like to know this too… it’s very apparent to anyone new to gardening on this forum.
I’m happy with my Bowles Mauve and bright red Geraniums but perhaps after I get the hang of gardening… I’ll get bored of them and the pursuit for ‘difference’ may kick in?
Not different @Mariam_86, just better and more pleasing.
Bowles Mauve is fine as long as it's treated as an annual or very short lived perennial because otherwise it gets tatty and keels over dead. Bright red pelargoniums look best IMHO in window boxes and old pots on sun baked Mediterranean terraces and balconies. Not as good in the cooler light of northern Europe.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I don't hate them as such, but I would never grow sweet peas -always dead at the bottom or tulips pretty enough flower for a few days or a fortnight if the weather is cold and dry.
I have to confess that I feel tulips are over rated. I appreciate that there are some beautiful ones but floppy leaves and a bulb that gets weaker each year instead of multiplies is not going to earn space in my over packed small garden any time soon!
My bright red pelargonium are happily planted in my south facing front garden in white concrete planters, palms and Pittosporum in the shingle,10 minutes from the sea,and you have to grow similar to the seafront that will cope with the conditions. Mind you the Pittosporum smells heavenly. Not inviting you lot round, when we open for charity,!!

(yes, I know they’re pelargoniums!)

Failure is always an option.
I have remembered more for the dislike list though....periwinkle and winter jasmine
