WonkyWomble, those butter yellow daisy flowers are gorgeous! <3
  • Camelias do my head in,they drop their flowers and leave a slippery mushy mess,Privet gives me hayfever, and has a sickly scent, and I couldnt live with the 13 Leylandii trees,20ft tall,  that the previous house owner had planted, and those awful dyed heathers.
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
  • Thanks @Jac19 😊  it's another example of Monty  following my style again 😉 he had the same plant in an urn a few weeks ago!

  • Watching Gardener's World,I completely forgot,I don't like Heathers They are Ok on a big forest,we inherited 2 big beds, mauve flowers on the top,but a massive brown tangle underneath, prickly, really took some removal
  • Peonies.  I love the blooms but I hate the way they “spoil” so easily in even a short shower of rain.  The buds take months to fatten up, then one day after they open they turn to pulp ! Then the leaves take months to die back and flop all over the place throughout summer.

this year I cut and put them in a vase as soon as they burst.

I've kept just one, which is supported by surrounding shrubs
