Next celebrity announced for Christmas is Anne Marie who will be dancing with Graziano. A bit of Googling reveals she is a singer  :)
  • She's a judge on the voice with Sir Tom Jones, Will.I.am and Oli Murs.

It's raining so I'm sat watching Top Hat while doing patch club admin on the PC and there's a fabulous Busby Berkeley group dance.

I miss the days when Strictly invited outside acts to dance and think it would be a great way to show formation dancing now and again.  I know it's moved on since the days of those puffed out dresses on Come Dancing all those years ago.

I see Motsi is going to miss this week's show as she has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive.
Craig will be back, but Cynthia is sitting in again.
Also Moira Stuart (newsreader and Classic fm presenter) will be dancing with Aliaz in the Christmas special.
I must say that the Christmas line up seems on the "mature" side,

Yay! I'm sure she's very nice and all but her voice really grates on me. Hopefully this 'someone' isn't from her homeland.

Adrian Chiles is the final Christmas celebrity. Maybe most of the younger people are busy.

"California Dreaming" for a Paso? What a shame they didnt get some stirring Spanish Music.

Dan looked good bless him,she looked amazing!

Good Argentine Tango,I didnt realise it was originally for 2 men to dance to,you learn something new every day😊.  Music seemed right, Beethovens 5th.

    I liked the Waltz too.

Who will go this week I wonder?

I must admit, when l hear "California Dreaming" l have never thought "Paso Doble" ! I thought the music choice made it lose quite a bit in the story telling.
The booing of Craig was getting on my nerves. I had to laugh when he gave someone a 7 and was promptly booed, then Cynthia gave the same score and there was an awkward silence followed by a quiet "boo" 😁.
  • The judges votes were a bit all over the place tonight Cynthia loved AJ so much she gave her an eight I think it was, Craig gets a bit too critical sometimes I don't think that it necessarily sheds much light when he points out a litany of faults but then says it was a good effort. No one really caught my eye tonight until the end of AJ's dance when she jumped into Kai's arms and that was enough to get my vote, I enjoyed John and Johannes routine tonight and they also got my vote, vote number three could have gone to anyone really but Rose got it just for being Rose.

I thought the choice of music for the Paso was really poor and didn't help with the performance or technique at all and I wasn't too impressed by the choreography either.

I thought Dan did well with the rumba and yes, his feet should be grounded for that dance but he did need a bit more hip action.

Didn't like Tilly's samba - feet all wrong and the leg action a bit untidy.

I thought AJ did very well with quite a daring choreography.

Loved Johannes' choreography and both their performance.   Argentine Tango was danced in bars by the gauchos ranching out on the plains, either 2 men or a gaucho and a lady of the night.   Some Brits saw it and loved it but realised it was too sexy and sensuous so wouldn't be accepted back in good old Blighty so they modified it and codified it and it became ballroom tango.

Edited to add - forgot t'other fella.  Not a memorable waltz and I really don't like all that crying.
