Sorry a different topic â Iâm absolutely livid â today someone has damaged/tried to dig out one of the lavender plants outside my house. Half of the plant is hanging on with some roots, not sure if I should take it out and replace with a new young plant or leave it in. Something similar happened before when the lavender was newly planted 4 years ago, someone dug out one of the plants; I replaced it and it was stolen again. But today this was just simply damage, unless they thought of stealing a mature plant (which is hardly worthwhile for lavender) and gave up halfway.
I don't CARE if folk have tattoos , or shaggy perms, or piercings , or pillar box red hair, or smelly dreadlocks. Their bodies , their choice . It doesn't preclude folk voicing a dislike of them
I was flicking through the channels and chanced upon the Netherlands Czech match. It was half time or it was over, I've no idea. Blokes in shorts were standing around. Anyway, in the few seconds that I hovered on the channel, I saw a filthy bar steward spitting. Before covid, it was disgusting. Now it's criminal.

But surely you know that folk playing sport are totally immune to Covid???? That's why they still play their games. It doesn't matter how many actually get it, be they footballers, tennis players, cricketers and the like, they must be allowed to play their little games.Â
The tentative connection @Hostafan1 mentioned a couple of weeks ago between Cornwall's very high spike in cases of covid and the G7 seems to have been conclusively proven now. Two hot spots in Cornwall - St Ives where the conference was and Falmouth where the press were based. Even Andrew Marr was saying this morning he reckons that's where he caught it (and he's double vaccinated)

We did know that was the cause, someone tried to say the spike was too soon, trying to blame the half term and students again, Â but they didnât say that all the extra police, hospitality staff, press etc were installed here the week or so before the G7 started, Â a police Women was interviewed at the time and said she was fearful.Â

I'm steaming - Marks & Spencer have apparently switched to 'paperless returns' so they make the poor mugs who order online do all the work, use their own printer, paper and ink so M & S can save money. I got as far as printing a Return sheet but can't access the Royal Mail website to generate a Return label - the link is broken. I'll have to take the trousers that don't fit back to M & S tomorrow, a trip into town I didn't want to make. Saving the plant - really?!!!Â
I hate M&S. Last clothes shop to have changing rooms. Last shop to take credit cards. Thought way to highly of themselves and their clothes are not even second rate any more.
When their undies started to fall apart worse than anywhere else I had no need of them anymore. Mind you I hated shopping there. It felt like I had to get into a disguise and make sure nobody I knew was around to see me before I darted out of the shadows and into store. I would have been mortified to be seen going in m&S.
I'm sure growing up we all wore their undies but nobody admitted it. When younger you shopped at River Island, after growing up you'd admit to next fitting you better. Then perhaps supermarkets after you've had kids. And finally if you're old enough you might, just might admit to going in m&s for yourself. Not their yet!Â
BTW their quality tanked a good 10 years ago I reckon. No wonder they're always hanging on.Â
It's none of my business what people do. They can and do do what they like. But anything that is made visible and public is open to opinion isn't it? I like/dislike loads of stuff that I see - don't we all do that and form opinions (you obviously do as you say you like tattoos)? Personally I don't understand why people want what I largely perceive to be poorly drawn stuff put on their body like a canvas. As a serious question(s), what do you like about tattoos? - that the person has them irrespective of what they depict? Or does the artwork have to be 'good' - ie is a simple coloured splodge likeable to you? Did you like tattoos before they became fashionable? Will you still like them when they fade (or not as the case may be) from fashion?
