I eat the salt and vinegar ones! - I mix Sainsbury's cheapo peanuts, a pack of salt and vingegar and some mixed fruit (the stuff with the orange peel) in a Kilner (other blah..blah...) jar as my goto snack. Sometimes I'm really off the wall and also liberally sprinkle the lot with garlic and herb or Thai flavouring powder. Close to the edge eh?
And why on earth do you need to be a martial artist (unless you draw pictures for catalogues) when you're 6' 5"? One of my senseis was a lass of about 4st and 5' 0" (maybe an exaggeration) - and threw people around like rag dolls.
We've popped to our local Sm tonight to discover quite a few empty shelves.......
My grump today is that we've discovered that we can't now even get through to our HP surgery and speak to a receptionist. An automated message announced that unless we were ringing about a child under the age of 16, we had to go on-line to the 111site and try and do a self diagnosis and self help questionnaire. If unsuccessful a nurse may ring you. Failing that, ring 111. I can see A and E starting to overload again.
A&E overload around here has been the standard situation for months. There was an article in our local rag saying waiting time at A&E was over 9 hours. My brother-in-law was sent to A&E by 111 and, once there, there was an announcement advising anybody who wasn't critical to leave and come back the next day.

OMG! If you shave that moustache off (and perhaps stick it between the eyebrows) then you're probably not far off my normal look!! It just needs a red, bulbous end, like a very small comic relief red nose for the bite and you'll be there.
Seriously though, I'm not exactly like that my hair colour isn't black, not blonde since I grew up and not a light brown since I grew up a bit more? I take it when half your hair had turned grey that is when you switch from being brown or blonde to being grey. Until that point you can technically call yourself your original hair colour. Unless you've got no hair of course.
I used to have a beard each winter until my hair went white and I looked like Santa's poor cousin. Now I look like Cadfael with my tonsure - and don't mention sunburnt heads...
My dojo had a lass less than 5 foot tall. She couldn't throw tall people anywhere as she wasn't tall enough to take their centre of gravity? Until a highly pragmatic sensei told her to do something until she could throw them. She took that as a green light for a very low blow and a guaranteed throw to follow!!!! Needless to say when the dreaded "change partners" call came from the sensei every tall or medium height male partnered up very, very quickly indeed!!
She was also a mother who only got into martial arts because n she got sick of waiting outside for her son to come out. She joined in and got better a lot quicker. She used to say that training read great because doing what she did would be called assault outside but in the dojo it's training. She took advantage and used it to discipline her son if he misbehaved between training. Needless to say the son had given up martial arts long before I took it up.
BTW height sometimes helps but other times you meet someone who's been aggressive and without fear of a big lad. Besides I'm tall but only 86kg which is actually light for my height. Most people think I'm thin, I'm not I just able to suck it in for longer than most!?
The other thing is gentle giant is a thing with tall people. That characteristic people spot which makes height less of a positive I reckon. Nobody at work thinks I can look after myself. It would surprise them if they saw what i could do if in had to.
Anyway while I'm posting here I've got my lateral for test brewing. Another reason for a grump. I've been sent home because a supplier of services to the company that I was main contact for tested positive for COVID-19 last night. I kept about 1m away from him but work directors still sent me home. That was Tuesday when I had about 40 minutes keeping 1m+ away from him.
So now I don't think I meet the criteria for isolation? I think I've just got an early weekend but that depends on whether work read the guidance to the letter.
What 'flavour' did you do? Me and my BIL did Ju-Jitsu for a few years.
There was one event that made me chortle. We had to do a technique where the attacker came at you face on, with their legs slightly apart. The ideas was to kick with one foot to the inside of one thigh, then do the same with the other foot to the other thigh, splaying the legs and taking the person off balance. Then you hooked a foot around one of the attacker's bowed legs and took them down at the same time kicking with the other foot to the attacker's prone head on the mat. Me and BIL were having a whale of a time and the sensei came over and asked how we were doing - so my BIL being quicker than me, said '...oh, I can't quite get it. Can you show me?...'. So this sensei got me to be the attacker, and whack, whack my legs bowed, I hit the deck backwards and was laying there with his foot an inch from my nose. 'Did you get that?' asked the sensei....'Not quite - can you run it through again' says BIL, trying to stifle the laughter. Even faster this time. The sensei didn't hold back (or maybe he was holding back and I was just a wimp). BIL was all but rolling on the floor and tears were running down his cheeks. I had extensive bruising on the inside of my thighs that I had to explain both to my wife and at work because I ended up walking like John Wayne.
