I've got some plugs going. When they get a bit bigger I will go and test them under the noses of local cats. I'll use some valerian root too, for a control.

I put in some small salvia cardonna, which is are doing well and not floppy.

I bought some 'Kitten Around'  and I did some trials with local cats. They glared at me and then tried to eat the plant, plastic pot and all. It sent them slightly crazed. So, that's not going to work for a pavement bed. Has anyone tried it in a hanging basket or similar?

I had bought some salvia nemorosa Salute to try out as a replacement - short and hopefully long flowering. They seem to be going over after about four weeks of flowering, which is really disappointing. I was hoping for a summer of flowers.

I have one plant of nepeta, which is potted up and kept behind bars because of our cat. Left to itself it's a lovely floriferous chunky plant, but left undefended it's lucky to get a few leaves up. The good news is the cat is broadening his tastes. The bad news is he now eats rosemary, coriander, parsley and rose leaves. 😋

So far the only one of mine that has been squished in parts is the Junior Walker.

The taller ones have not been touched by anything other than pollinators……

I cut back my row of 5 Purrsian Blue plants outside (to get a second flush) and thought the scent from the cut stems might attract the neighbourhood cats but still no interest, they walk right past it. Note: I didn’t quite like the smell of the Purrsian Blue when cut, to me it was like a fishy mint smell. I’m much more used to lavender and thyme which I love cutting back because of the scent.
