We had a really cold and rainy  spring here as well.  We had the coldest winter since the 1880s and  Many of our trees and shrubs were killed from the cold this winter but now the garden is really producing.  Making tomatoe sauce today.  I guess we are going to mix them up.

@jamesholt  It"ll come, James.  It'll come;  As Pete said - it's been hot, then cool, then hot and now cool - heat is on its way next week and from then on it should be too hot!!  I am in the S -th of France so used to getting peppers and tomatoes nicely "done".  Just late this year, I think.  September and October will bring Indian summers.
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

In mid England, where we live, I count us lucky to have tomatoes ready third week in July, maybe a few cherry toms before that. My plants have three trusses set, but I don't think they will be early.
I'm trying yellow pear drops and tigerella this year, as well as sungold and roma .
