New to the forum but if it helps I have a climbing iceberg which is 33 years old . It never disappoints.

Mine goes on and on even get the odd frostbitten one at Christmas sometimes. It's against next door's fence. When they replaced the fence it was cut down and trampled on. It came back even better.

Not a climber, but Margaret Merrill is a white rose with a beautiful scent. And it does get quite high.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    Mine doesn’t repeat either.

Couldn’t find an Iceberg, but Cottage Memories has a good reputation, some on the rose thread have had some well branched, very healthy potted roses from them. They have a potted  Aimee Vibert..

I really hope it turns out well for you. I always have a mild moment of panic when someone actually takes me up on a suggestion it case it doesn’t work out!

    Thanks @Fire and @Nollie I’ll let you know !

@Nollie I’d imagine I’d be the same but don’t worry ! One thing I’ve learned with my gardening is it’s very trial and error.
I’ve made mistakes and had to move things about so much as it’s all so new to me. I’m sure it’ll work out and become a beautiful feature of my garden , even if I do have to move it like I’ve done with nearly everything  😂😂

im appreciative of all the help and advice I have been given, thank you everyone!

Absolutely, lots of trials and errors here! I remember when I first started watching Monty Don on GW and being completely baffled by why he was constantly moving all his plants. Now I get it, I have become an inveterate mover 😆
