If I had to pick one it would be green. However if it was mine I would leave it natural and use the green on things like trellis etc. well that’s what I did anyway.

I'd leave it. It'll fade into squirrel grey

Go as dark as as you can - green, grey, black.  Nothing light or wishy-washy as they'll be too visible and also attract algae.

The foliage of plants will stand out against dark colors and the fence will recede making the garden appear bigger.

All the recommendations so far have been made in isolation - we can’t see the context of your garden, your house, the whole view.

I would step across the street and *then* take a picture.

Consider the colours of the hard landscaping in that view - your front door, window frames, walls, trees, then you should see a few colours that are making up most of the view.

Now you should be able choose a fence colour to compliment that palette. :)

I like natural wood, unless it's one of those rather orange fences. Second choice is willow, which we painted OH's shed.

I'm with @Hostafan1 it's black all the way. Mind we 6 pergolas, 1 greenhouse, a 50mtish fence, gates, bed edging and pizza oven all in black so maybe I'm biased 🤯. My mum has lilac which I hated to start with but has grown on me now and I find quite relaxing. Darker colours bring out the brightness of plants be that foliage or flowers whereas lighter colours tend to hide them more

I would normally say black or a very dark grey too, but within the context of an enclosed garden, surrounded by greenery, as is the fence I recently painted black, which does indeed disappear. I think in the context shown, a single side fence in a front garden, it would look too stark in the street environment and actually stand out more than the willow green. But, as others have said, it does depend on what and how densely you plant in front of it and the wider view.

I also would leave it, but I have a lot of fence, after 2years it has silvered down nicely.its not a feature,it's a boundary and to keep the dogs in.we  is have planted shrubs all along it anyway. It is a big deal to change it if you get fed up with the colour
My shed and summer house are black after huge debates about different colours

It’s on a typical 70s housing estate where most every house is brick with white windows and a kind of white cladding. The patio in the garden is a kind of beige.
I was leaning towards a lighter colour to bring light into the garden but now I’m wondering if the willow would be the least jarring / noticeable.

A mock up of a green fence plus the surroundings.

I would go with Willow. I painted my fence years ago and have always regretted the blue tone instead of green.
