Cats always find the sunniest spots don't they RosieBB? I have watched with great amusement Lily following the sunny spots round in the kitchen.

Very showery today so no allotment but a lazy afternoon planned before we go out to tea. I probably should say out to dinner but hereabouts we say tea in the evening, bit disappointing but that’s British weather for you definitely feels more like April than May doesn’t it?
Well done with the tree LB do you have big plans for the space?

Handy brother said exactly the same about the weather as you have just done Debs. The tree was in a place where the new border will extend. Need to plan it all carefully. There is some Solomon's seal growing quite near to where I took out the plum tree so I'm hoping I haven't disturbed them too much. I need to keep an eye open for sawflies too.

Good work @Ladybird4. I find it strangely satisfying when I've removed a big lump of something that I've decided that I don't want in the garden ;)

The daffs are looking perfect. Inevitably mine have been battered by the weather but more damage has been caused by critters :o Something is systematically munching the flowers clean off.

After my ovine encounter early doors, the next interaction with wildlife was no surprise. Almost trod on this fella near the 'pond'.

What a great frog Biglad but he does look a bit skinny. Despite my cleaning out my pond a couple of years back I haven't had any frog spawn this year. My next big job is to clear out the pond again as it has silted up a lot with all the rain. Would love to get the wildlife back.

  • LB I love your narcissus poeticus.  Yes cats know all the best places.  Chive it’s pouring it down here, bouncing off the road. I hope you’re dry and warm.   Hazel thank you I’ll be interested in watching.  Biglad good to see mr frog, although as LB says a little skinny, but it’s been a long winter.

    Afternoon everyone,
Because of times of buses j arrived early for my vaccine. But they let me in early and I was able to get the earlier bus home. Feel ok at the moment but did fall asleep on the sofa after lunch. But that's probably due to only a few hours sleep last night.  Eldest son took OH to see the oncologist and all is ok. They were really pleased and his next appointment is in 4 months time.
Sounds like you've been busy in the garden @Ladybird4 Lucky to still hsve daffodils and narcissus flowering.
@Biglad Mr frog does look a bit thin, but perhaps he's a young one.

It has gone pitch black here. I think I might be in for a storm.
