Forecast said showers this afternoon so I didn't put the sheets in the washing machine. But it's been a nice day, sunshine, no showers. Showers tomorrow.

I've been doing housework, cleaned 2 loos, washed a floor, that sort of boring stuff.

I really like your name @bluebellsinthewild, bluebells are my favourite wild flower.

Just come in having dodged the thunder and rain storms. Both my waterbutts, which were almost empty are now overflowing! Debs I took this picture of my yellow rhododendron today. There are still a lot of buds to open.

@Biglad I'm not really surprised at your pond being full up having seen my water butts. It was just starting to spit and spot as I was taking the picture above for Debs. I've been contemplating the place I want my new border to go. There is a rather pathetic plum tree that did nothing last year and had about 3 blossoms on it this Spring in the planned border space so I think it has got to go. There are also two bird baths that I need to re-site as well. Tomorrow's project.

@Songbird-1 and @Ladybird4 did you watch the very end of the last episode of LOD  there was a trailer for a new series called HMS Vigil. Not sure when it's on but it said coming soon. Martin Compton is in it and so is Suranne Jones. Made by the makers of LOD

@Songbird-1 yes we'll record it too.
I'm hoping I'll understand it as Martin Compton will be talking in his natural Scottish accent. I like Suranne Jones too.
    Thank you Hazel

SGL, I've already got HMS Vigil flagged up for watching. It is still being filmed and will be shown later this year. We'll have to keep watching to find out when it is being shown. Oh dear Hazel. My Bestie did that but solved the bleach marks on her black trousers by dyeing them (black of course). I hope tomorrow goes well for your OH and you, SGL.

@Songbird-1 I can remember  a murder/detective series a couple of years ago  that we gave up watching because we didn't understand the broad accent. Kept having to wind it back and listen again 🤦🏻‍♀️
Oh heck Hazel, what a shame about your trousers. I've done that before with the cuff of cardigan 😩

    Evening all,

Today I've learnt that fruit bushes and freshly planted French bean seedlings don't like violent hailstorms. A third of the French beans have been decapitated and the blueberries/blackcurrants have had their leaves shredded  :(

Oh well - tomorrow is another day. I can replace those seedlings that are done for from the back-up supply on the windowsill. I'm sure the fruit bushes will recover. They can't complain about a lack of precipitation now anyway ;)
