@KT53, I  I never said that a well serviced car couldn't breakdown.  I was simply stating my own experience,  maybe I have been lucky,  maybe not.

I like how the media are showing pictures of people hugging today as if people haven't been doing it for months. I wonder if the photographers dragged people out of bed nice and early to get their best clothes and makeup on ready for the photo shoots?
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

There was a chap on a breakfast programme this morning said that he thought there would be a hugging etiquette where people would  ask the other person if it was ok to hug. Now, I always thought of a hug as being a spontaneous thing to to, not something you debated beforehand with someone.  ;)

Someone on Radio 2 has just called to say she's sitting INSIDE her local cafe enjoying a flat white and watching the world go by
Well that's what we've all waited over a year to do eh?
Maybe she doesn't have any friends to visit?
    Devon.

Let's hope she doesn't get an Indian takeaway at the same time :#

I assume flat white isn't just non-fizzy wine by the way?

How much has covid changed people's outlooks? I was talking to me old bro' and sis' about post covid mixing, and although none of us are scared or worried by covid per se, none of us feel that urgent urge to mix in general. We want to see each other - fine - but the way it's been talked about in the media it's as though there's this massive human urge to socialise. Maybe we have a sociopathic gene.
