Visiting a relative we let ourselves in as they were still out. Two dogs evacuating from both ends. We turned around, locked the door and found something to do for half an hour. We returned like we'd only just got there and all windows were open and a strong smell of cleaning stuff. Nothing was said but the relative was very house proud so they must have been frantic cleaning up thinking we'd be there any time soon. They never found out we'd already seen the mess!!

Btw we've got a young child, a dog and I reckon that relatives two small dogs when ill like that could beat any number of young kids/babies for mess. How on earth do they get it up the walls like that????

We often have a weekend theme. This week's appears to be vomit and diarrhoea. Nice😐

Modern parenting,  changed a lot since I had mine it seems!
My daughter looks after 6 under 5,  they’d never dream of picking her flowers.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!  What sort of people think it's a good idea to give their dog a squeaky toy to play with in the garden on an otherwise peaceful Sunday morning ... hitherto nothing but the sound of birdsong in the air ...... I've been driven indoors!!!

    Complete sympathy @Dovefromabove :s

Many years ago my children nicknamed the reclusive neighbours "the squeaky dog people" as it was in the garden most days.

We had friends who’s first child was ‘perfect’, quiet, well behaved, never touched or did anything he shouldn’t ... not like our two đŸ€Ș... we were invited there for his birthday tea ... we gave him a drum ...

đŸ€” do you think the squeaky dog toy has been sent to punish us? 🙄

It's not always the owner's fault.  My cousin had a border collie who had loads of toys.  He rarely played with squeaky ones until he thought she'd been on the phone too long.  Then he would dig one out and attack it right beside her.

I think I’m this case it’s the owners squeaking the toy ... don’t think the dog is interested ... for a start dogs have more sensitive hearing than us .., probably driving it nuts.
At least they’ve gone in for dinner now ... we’ve been out and  finished weeding the Wilderness and planting out some native primrose seedlings and more hardy geraniums.
