    I was watching the News on TV today snd they were talking about Eric Cantona. I've never heard it pronounced like that before,  not how the French say it.

    Yes, lots, but all unprintable!

    What does that mean? You can only have one best hope, so how can it be first or last? And conversely.

    The same for "unique". Something is either unique or it isn't. It can't be quite unique or fairly unique.
